Soul Owner is excited to host artist and community organizer  Brandon Gaia Marshall (aka NOSEY42) for a showing of the acclaimed muralist’s fine art. Native Son, is a collection of collage and paintings with visual sampling compositions that pay homage to a modern pre-internet nostalgia.

Specializing in murals with a focus on community engagement, Marshall’s work has rarely been seen in a gallery setting. Native Son, is a fresh, graphic, sensual, and energetic collection of his fine art. “While all visual elements possess unique characteristics and identities the barrage of organic and inorganic material fall together into a harmonious totality. Images are dissected and decontextualized to relay moments from our collective subconscious that we all inherently know to be true.  In this way the work imitates life, as the paintings reveal our lives to be a conglomeration of our own bittersweet and surreal milestones.”  (Native Son artist statement, NOSEY42)
